Cusgarne Farm: Organic, Fresh & Friendly

One of the first veg box schemes in Cornwall was from Cusgarne, near Truro, where Greg and Teresa Pascoe sell a range of produce from organic vegetables, fruit, eggs, angus beef, chutneys, marmalades and jam.

Cusgarne Organic Farm, which has been in the Pascoe family since 1800, has been running an organic box scheme between Helford, Fowey and the north Cornish coast for over 20 years.

“Our mission is to make quality organic food accessible to everyone. We charge fair prices to make it easy for everybody to be healthy and eat food that they trust,” says Greg. “We have a fresh approach to sustainable organic farming, we’re a family run farm, and so we get what’s important.”

With a passion for fresh, ethically sourced, healthy food, Greg and Teresa cater for all your health food and organic needs, all from the heart of Cornwall

People can visit the farm store and make up their own vegetable boxes or order by phone or online. Boxes can include beef, organic chicken, vegetables, salad, fruit, free-range eggs and chutneys.

“We can show people round the farm so they can see where the food comes from,” continues Greg. “We can reconnect people with their food.”

This personal approach has won Cusgarne clients such as the Hotel Tresanton, Idle Rocks and Lord Falmouth.

Weekly hampers start from just £9 and include plenty of fresh seasonal vegetables as well as weekly basics such as onions, carrots, potatoes, and garlic.

Uniquely, from £14.00 onwards, you can choose whatever you like from the availability list. Cusgarne email out the list every week and you just let them know what you fancy.

“We try to provide for specific dietary requirements, so whether you’re juicing mad, only eat potatoes, detoxing or just want lots of everything, we’ve got it covered,” says Greg.
