RE:SOURCE Vintage is now selling chalk paints and accessories
RE:SOURCE Vintage is not only a great place to find fabulous upcycled and refurbished mid-century and vintage furniture, but is now a retail stockist of the popular chalk paints, shabby wax, and accessories needed to complete your own exciting upcycling project.
Tara Jones, Retail and Marketing Assistant at RE:SOURCE, oversees the day to day running of RE:SOURCE Vintage in St. Austell, she said:
“Our competitively priced ‘Shabby Chic’ chalk paints come in a fantastic range of 22 delicious colours. They are water based with virtually no odour, so are great for creating indoor projects, and are so easy to use as they can be used directly onto bare or painted wood, brick, stone, plaster or any suitably primed rigid surface such as metals and plastic -’Tara proof’ as my Mum would say!”
The popular furniture and gift shop, situated in St. Austell town centre sells a range of collectable furniture in natural woods and hand painted finishes. All furniture showcased by RE:SOURCE Vintage furniture are items that have been rescued from landfill and brought back to life by people in the local community who are looking to progress or rebuild their lives. RE:SOURCE provides a safe and inclusive environment for people to gain confidence and learn new skills in a bid to reduce the effects of social exclusion in the county.
The volunteers and trainees in the RE:SOURCE workshop learn a number of finishing techniques under the careful instruction of an experienced cabinet maker in order to get the highest quality finish for their painted products including preparation, sanding, priming, denibbing and finally a top coat application. Customers to RE:SOURCE Vintage have been keen to have a go at upcycling themselves and the new range of chalk paint will enable them to do so in a quick and inexpensive way.
Tara continued:
“We are very excited to have this opportunity to retail a great brand of quality chalk paints as it will help our customers to easily create their own furniture transformations. Our store in Bodmin sells what I always describe as the ‘raw materials’ – great pieces of solid furniture, that with a bit of imagination and some paint could be transformed into an amazing and unique addition to your home. The hardest part is going to be choosing your favourite shade!”
RE:SOURCE Vintage in St.Austell also has Shabby Chic furniture wax and a range of various paint brushes in stock to complement the chalk paints and enable you to pick up everything you need for your project in one visit.
